Course Tour
Deer Creek - Ruby - Hole #1
Par 5
Men's HCP 5/Ladies' HCP 2
Yardages from:
Blue Tee Deck - 526
White Tee Deck - 504
Red Tee Deck - 452
Tip from the Pro:
Grip it and rip it! There is out-of-bounds left but this should not be a factor unless you really mess up. Big hitters may get home in 2, if not, be sure to leave yourself a short iron into this shallow green.
Deer Creek - Ruby - Hole #2
Par 3
Men's HCP 2/Ladies' HCP 3
Yardages from:
Blue Tee Deck - 209
White Tee Deck - 187
Red Tee Deck - 123
Tip from the Pro:
Perhaps the toughest par 3 on our property. The yardage is true, even though this is downhill. Missing this green right leads to bogey at best.
Deer Creek - Ruby - Hole #3
Par 4
Men's HCP 7/Ladies' HCP 6
Yardages from:
Blue Tee Deck - 328
White Tee Deck - 298
Red Tee Deck - 260
Tip from the Pro:
A short par 4 with a challenging approach. Your tee shot should at least reach the right corner of the fairway trap. Then a lofted club is needed to hold this firm, shallow green.
Deer Creek - Ruby - Hole #4
Par 3
Men's HCP 8/Ladies' HCP 7
Yardages from:
Blue Tee Deck - 169
White Tee Deck - 144
Red Tee Deck - 109
Tip from the Pro:
The first priority on this tee is to check the wind. Due to the drop in elevation, plan on hitting one less club. If in doubt, bail out right where you at least have a chance for an “up and down”.
Deer Creek - Ruby - Hole #5
Par 4
Men's HCP 6/Ladies' HCP 5
Yardages from:
Blue Tee Deck - 383
White Tee Deck - 354
Red Tee Deck - 298
Tip from the Pro:
The 5th is a secluded hole where wind is rarely a factor. The key here is hitting the fairway, as a shot from the rough will not likely hold this firm elevated green.
Deer Creek - Ruby - Hole #6
Par 4
Men's HCP 9/Ladies' HCP 8
Yardages from:
Blue Tee Deck - 357
White Tee Deck - 305
Red Tee Deck - 279
Tip from the Pro:
A tee shot aimed slightly left of the 150 yard marker is perfect. Big hitters will hit a driver through the fairway so a fairway wood or long iron is a good choice here. Land your approach shot on the front of the green, allowing it to feed back to the pin.
Deer Creek - Ruby - Hole #7
Par 4
HCP 1
Yardages from:
Blue Tee Deck - 455
White Tee Deck - 435
Red Tee Deck - 328
Tip from the Pro:
This is the start of our most difficult 3-hole stretch. In the distance, aim your tee shot at the birdhouse behind the green. Long and straight are the keys to reaching this green in regulation.
Deer Creek - Ruby - Hole #8
Par 5
Men's HCP 3/Ladies' HCP 4
Yardages from:
Blue Tee Deck - 511
White Tee Deck - 488
Red Tee Deck - 434
Tip from the Pro:
A left pin position makes this a three-shot par 5. Avoid the fairway trap on the right when laying up. A close shot to the pin is required to prevent a long “roller coaster putt” on this undulating green.
Deer Creek - Ruby - Hole #9
Par 3
Men's HCP 4/Ladies' HCP 9
Yardages from:
Blue Tee Deck - 194
White Tee Deck - 174
Red Tee Deck - 105
Tip from the Pro:
A 3 on this hole is always a good score. Deer Creek’s third longest par 3’s difficulty is enhanced by water right, out-of-bounds left and two strategically placed bunkers. Short left is the only place to miss. Remember that the yardage is all carry.
